Jeremy getting Love from his girls

Me and Jeremy August 2009

The Camping Trip in Oklahoma...our first big adventure with the girls! They loved it!!

I never Post Anymore:

Here it is...

This has been a crazy year and fun and awesome

LoraLei and I have had a big change in our lives.

We now live with Jeremy and his daughter Ava when she's in town. Jeremy and I are expecting and due July 27th. Ava and LoraLei are great friends and it was really sad when her mommy moved her to Phoenix, but we are doing our best to see each other as much as possible.

I guess I'll just post some pics since it's been so long and is too much really to post.

WOW I haven't posted in forever!!

Well LoraLei's Birthday Party was AWESOME!!

This summer has been one of the best by far. LoraLei has matured so much over the last year and she's really at a fun age. We are constantly doing something. She's in Gymnastics twice a week. I'm in taekwondo ( was once a week...but mama needed more lesson time and is now going twice a week). We have season passes to the local waterpark and go at least once a week. We lounge at our pool, ride bikes, workout together at the gym and at home, and she has become quite the little helper. Tonight I dumped the laundry out of the basket to start folding and she immediately plopped down, "Mommy can I help!!???" She loves to vaccuum and mop and even asked for my "special Spray" so she could clean my nice wood table in the dining room. We decided to not go to San Antonio this year as this year has already been very costly LOL... So instead we are doing a mommy daughter campout in Oklahoma and we're gonna hike, fish and swim at the lake, and then do some horseback riding. This will be LoraLei's first horseback ride and she is soooo excited! I'm still working evenings, which is fine by me as I have all day to spend time with LoraLei. I've been taking a lot of time of work (which is gonna have to come to an end) for just time with friends, family, and babygirl. She's so awesome and loves the time we have together and is sooo great at convincing her mommy to call work and see if she can get the day off! SOoo many people gringe at my job, but I LOVE IT and it has provided sooo many opportunities for me and LoraLei that we wouldn't have had. I don't know very many jobs that have the flexibility I actually have and of course it's LOADS OF FUN!

*****
On another note...LoraLei loss another grandparent. Great Grandma Sanders passed away on Friday. LoraLei is down to her Grandma (my mom) and her Great Grandpa (mom's dad). It was Grandma's time tho..she lived a long 85 years and it was time for her to leave and see her son and husband again.

*****
Perry and Kara are still expecting. The baby was "due" on the 10th...however, she decided to not come that day and so they are scheduled to be induced on Wednesday the 15th if she doesn't come before then (fingers crossed she will come on her own!).

Time to Update:

LoraLei's Birthday is coming up. We are doing a Gymnastics Party at her Gymnastics studio...so it's gonna be loads of fun. I originally planned on getting her a Cockatiel (bird) for her Birthday....but sooooo many people have expressed concern that I'm actually re-thinking the gift. I've been working ... I've started up with martial arts again....my partner at work is actually one of the instructors soooo..... I pay for my partner to beat me up! LOL LOL. In June I'm going to Chicago with some of my co-workers. It's gonna be a blast. We're gonna catch a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, go to Great America, and catch some festivals. Then I'm planning on taking LoraLei to San Antonio in July....for a fun Mommy Daughter trip. We plan on hitting Sea World and Schliterbahn and many other things to do in San Antonio.... we'll probably camp vs getting a hotel.

Mom MELTDOWN!!
I just told my soon to be 4 year old that her Birthday Party was canceled and she wasn't getting anything anymore until she cleaned her room and kept it clean. Seriously!!
LoraLei is bright enough and knows how to clean her room. Her room and her dad's is clean, she cleans at Aunt Kara's so there is NO REASON why the child can't clean at Mommy's house. I'm fed up with the destruction of her stuff and then the screaming she does when she can't find what she wants or it's ruined cuz she didn't take care of it! LoraLei's got one month to shape it up or the party and her big exciting gift I was getting her is a no go....................

CS Lewis"
-AFFECTION: Affection is modest-even furtive and shame-faced
-FRIENDSHIP: In a circle of true friends each man is simply what he is :stands for nothing but himself
-EROS: "being in love" It is useless to try to separate lovers by proving to them that their marriage will be an unhappy one. This is not only because they will disbelieve you. But even if they believed, they would be dissuaded. Eros never hesitates to say 'Better this than parting'But Eros, HONOURED WITHOUT RESERVATION AND OBEYED UNCONDITIONALLY, BECOMES A DEMON.
-CHARITY: A Garden will not fence and weed itself, nor prune its own fruit trees, nor roll and cut its own lawns. It will remain a Garden, as distinct from a wilderness, ONLY IF SOMEONE DOES ALL THESE GOOD THINGS TO IT. "

Hmm just a few thoughts
I'm not a "trophy" to be shown off and put on the shelf when the show is over-
I'm not a toy to be played with when one is bored and then discarded when my shiny new allure wears off
I'm not a door mat that someone can walk on anytime they feel like it just because I'm welcoming
I'm not a punching bag ...even though I'll roll with them if they come my way
My friendliness shouldn't be misconstrued with being a flirtatious bimbo
A smile and kindness does not equal being aloof
Finally-
I'm not defined by my occupation....It just happens to be something I love and hopefully I'm good at.
What I am.....So much more than what I'm given credit/respect for ............

January 6,2009
Officer Down
"Pray for the Men in Blue"
It takes a very special person to wear the blue. Most people do not understand what we doWe made a commitment to protect and serve. We work hard to provide the safety you deserve.
No normal shifts, not nine to five. We work 24/7 to keep you alive.Holidays and weekends don’t mean a thing. We work night and day, just give us a ring.
Our loved ones and children pray every night. That we will return at the break of daylight. We carry guns and wear vests to help us get through. You couldn’t imagine some of the things we must do.
We see accidents and blood and small children crying. We also see death and it’s not just old people dying.Abusive spouses and parents that don’t seem to care. These are just a few of the things, to make you aware.
Drug dealers and drunks are a regular sight. We go to the bars for fight after fight.Responding to calls day after day.Not allowing our personal lives to get in the way.
You complain all the time when you see us on a break. We just drive around in cars and oh, the money we make.Stop for a second and try to assessWho’s always there to clean up the mess.
We do all we can to help and provide. To make you feel safe and secure inside. Please remember all of the things that we must do.And next time you pray, include the men in blue.

WoW So Okay...
So my family does the Family Christmas on Christmas Eve every year...so that went all hunky dory. My brother -in-law gave himself an Acura NSX...so it was pretty cool..cuz he let me drive it. WHOO HOO

Anyway so I'm out to Dinner tonight (Christmas Day) with my Mother and Grandpa (her dad) and BAM he hits me with it again!!!
"So Do you plan to get remarried?!" Well Grandpa if the occassion should arise ...yes. "Well I just don't see raising LoraLei with out a Father!" " I mean a live in Father...it's not right." Well jeeze thanks. You know I don't mind being single... I'm not gonna choose to be forever single and never remarry....but I'm not gonna get married to the first thing that comes along just to satisfy my families' want for me to have a "man around the house." I'm well aware of the different influences a mother and father ( or role models of such) have on a child. However, I feel it unnecessary to be pointed out to me every 5 seconds that I'm single and LoraLei doesn't have a "live in Father." IT'S NOT GONNA CHANGE ANYTHING>>>> I'm not gonna just get married to get married or rush something to just satisfy others....that won't help anyone either!
UUUURRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

I don't have much to post...
LoraLei went with her dad to Lubbock for Thanksgiving. They were gone an entire week. That's the longest I've ever been without my little girl. So of course mommy missed her!! It appears everyone had an enjoyable time though. I spent the day with some of my family. I delivered some goodies to some of those stuck working that night. Other than that not much exciting going on in my life. I'm just working and trying ot maintain patients with this wild 3 year old I've been blessed with.

Later
Borrowed from one of My Buddies in Blue

"A Cop's Thanksgiving Prayer"

No festive meal for me tonight
Spare me calls of senseless fights
Make there be no children lost
No drunk drivers and the resulting cost
Let there be peace in our town’s homes
Don’t make me hear a battered wife’s moans
Let the gang-bangers enjoy a turkey feast
And spare the streets their bloody lease

May those with no roof, find shelter tonight
And those who are lost, find a guiding light
Let those who on the helpless prey
Leave their victims untouched this day

Don’t ask me to deliver news of the death
Of loved ones, far away, in a wreck
Show me no children, who have been abused
Who’s haunted eyes reveal, the parent accused

Give me a night without guns, blood or tears
A night without useless pain, suffering or fears
If you spare me this night all of these things
I’ll call it even Lord, and a Happy Thanksgiving

Well I haven't updated Soooo Here it goes....

Single once again....by choice. Things just didn't work out.... anymore information than that you'll have to ask me personally.
Anyhow LoraLei is great and is doing wonderful in Gymnastics right now. She loves to go to class with Ms. Angie and practice her flips and balance beam (her favorite). She comes home and shows me her rolls and she has to walk every curb she finds to practice her beam moves. Its so wonderful to see her find joy in something. LoraLei is so active it's a constant struggle trying to find things to keep her occupied, motivated, and stimulated. I'm going to be a bragging mom yes I know...but I have to say I have been blessed with a VERY BRIGHT little girl. She has amazing observation skills, context clues, and problem solving skills for such a young child. She can not only put a+b=c but she will do a+b=c if d+e=f and so forth if you get what I mean. She will go over an entire weeks itinerary without any coaching just based off of what we have causally talked about. She likes to know WHY? about everything... and yes this gets so frustrating at times, but she is asking because she's trying to figure out this ever changing world she lives in.

LoraLei has a big girl full size bed with princess bedding now. I've got huge bubble letters spelling out her name in her new room. We are really loving our new place. It's so close to Uncle Perry and its close to our favorite mall and it's got a decent enough neighborhood that we can workout in it.

Can you believe this little three year old will RUN ...seriously like a runner/jogger with me. I push her in the jogging stroller and she'll be like Mamma I want to get out and run...and she will run a pace with form and everything that I can't just walk to keep up with her I actually have to jog a lil to keep up with her. So far with me she usually goes about 1/2 mile ...rest a lil then goes some more...however, Perry reports she'll run a mile with his kids on a regular basis.
I've got quite the little energizer bunny on my hands.

LoraLei has decided to be a "bug Baby" for Halloween this year. For those who don't know she has this set of baby dolls by Anne Gedes dressed as different animals or bugs etc... and one is a Lady bug baby...hence "bug Baby" so LoraLei will be a Lady Bug for Halloween ...ITS SO CUTE. I will definitely post pics when I get them.
